- Built a Mirror Dinghy in 1964 and started sailing in 1965.
- Moved to Tenby in 1966. I continued to sail the Mirror but borrowed a Redwing.
- Bought my own Redwing 202 (Melody) in 1968 and still have it.
- Sailed in thousands of club races and many Championships.
- Said that I would take over as Secretary of Tenby SC as a stop gap in 1969 but have remained in the post ever since!
- Purchased a Westerly Centaur (Slipstream) in 1973 and have used it for racing, family cruising and as a Committee boat.
- Helped to run at least one UK National Dinghy Championship every year since 1976.
- Gained Senior Instructor certificate in 1978, Racing Instructor in 1983 and became an ISAF International Race Officer in 1996.
- Chairman of the Training Committee of the Welsh Yachting Association since 1988.
- I have thoroughly enjoyed my involvement with sailing and Tenby SC.
