Oil is cleared from Castle Sands after the 'Sea Empress' spillage in 1996.

The first tide of oil had arrived from the Sea Empress, and more was to follow. Trenches were dug, and the oil was removed with farmers' vacuum units and deposited in a temporary reservoir before removal and transportation to the refinery in Milford Haven.
