Championships to be held at Tenby sailing Club during 2004



Tenby Open Dinghy Meeting and Welsh Moth Championships

Saturday 1st May and Sunday 2nd May 2004.

The event starts at midday on Saturday; three races back to back.
The Sunday start is at 11 a.m.; three races back to back.

The event is open to all classes of dinghy, with two types of course available (numbers permitting).

Windward/Leeward and Triangular courses.

As all the races are back to back, average lap times may be used.

Discards after 3 races.

Prizes for each class with enough entries to justify.

Daily prizes.

Overall prizes.

Adults £8.00 per day
Juniors £5.00 for the weekend

          Saturday: 1st overall Colin Newman in a Moth (Draycote Sailing Club).

          Sunday: 1st overall (joint) Martin Harrison in a Moth (Royal Victoria Yacht Club); Mike Stace and Deanna Morton in a Redwing (Tenby Sailing Club).

          Overall results for the two days: 1. Martin Harrison in a Moth (Royal Victoria Yacht Club); 2. Colin Newman in a Moth (Draycote Sailing Club); 3. Robert Dangerfield in a Tasar (Llangorse).



Firefly National Championships.

Saturday 7th August to Friday 13th August 2004.

Tenby Sailing Club are always looking for helpers on the water, off water, in the kitchens, etc.
