Dinghy Park Berths 2008
The Tenby Sailing Club Committee has been looking at ways to ensure the dinghy parks are used to their full potential. This document briefly explains the changes being introduced and the actions that you need to take if you wish to keep your dinghy in the Dinghy Park.
Much of this is new so please study this document carefully:
Dinghy Park Regulations
- Use of the Dinghy Parks
- Use of the Dinghy Parks is restricted to members, temporary members and honorary members of the Club.
- Every dinghy must display a green tag, allocated by the committee on the front of the boats launching trolley. You will be issued a green tag on receipt of payment.
- Members not using their boat may be requested to remove it from the Dinghy Park.
- Spaces may only be used on acceptance of a completed application form, the appropriate fee and any other amounts owing to the Club.
- Any boat that is parked in the dinghy compound without permission shall be removed from the dinghy park at the owner's expense.
- Abandoned boats identified by the committee will be removed from the dinghy park and if necessary sold to recover costs owing to the club.
- Liability
- The Club accepts no liability in any way whatsoever for any loss or damage to boats stored on the premises or any third party loss or damage caused by them.
- Neither the Club nor any person acting on the authority of the Club shall be liable for any loss or damage to any boat or other equipment that is moved in accordance with or as a consequence of the TSC Dinghy Park regulations.
- Owners are advised to ensure that they are adequately insured for such risks during the period of storage.
- Conditions of use
- Boats will be initially allocated a position in the dinghy parks, but this may be changed during the year depending upon usage levels.
- If a boat is clearly not in a fit state to sail you may be given one month to either put it into sailing condition and use it or remove it.
- Owners of boats that are infrequently used may be asked to vacate their space.
- Any boat that is not actively used may be moved out of the Dinghy Park to another location.
- Charges
- The charges for the use of the dinghy park will be as set annually by the Committee.
- If at any time, any charges owing to the Club are in arrears, the Committee shall be entitled to move the boat to a new location without being liable for any loss of or damage to the boat howsoever caused.
- On acceptance of the application form and payment of all charges the Committee will allocate a suitable space and green tag for display on the front of the dinghy trolley.
- Dinghy park fees for 2008 will be due on the 1st February 2008.
- Rates
