- John and Gwen Eastlake joined Tenby Sailing Club in its earliest days.
- They met while sailing, and both had Redwings.
- In 1960, they sold their Redwings and had built Redwing R211, 'Chantey', which they sailed together.
- They had a fishing boat, 'Summertime', in the harbour which they used for crab and lobster fishing.
- John was Secretary of Tenby Sailing Club for ten years before Blake Shaw, and Gwen was the treasurer for many years.
- Gwen was also the Press Officer for many years, before Alan Davies and Terry Evans.
- Both John and Gwen have spent many years stocktaking the bar in the club.
