Visit of classic yacht Halcyon to Tenby

Saturday 4th April 2009

There will be an illustrated talk on the history of this historic vessel
given by the crew at the Club commencing at 7.30 p.m.

Anyone interested in classic boats and boat building should find this fascinating



Safety Boat and Tractor Training

The season starts with safety boat and tractor training
on Saturday 28th March at 1.30 p.m.

Parents & helpers welcome

Food will be available and this will be followed by:

Distress Flares Demonstration

There will be a talk on flares at 7.30 p.m. in the club followed by
a demonstration of their use given at the end of the pier
by the local RNLI Sea Safety Officer

Junior Sailing

An enrolment session will be held on Wednesday April 8th commencing at 7.00 p.m.
and a second chance to enrol on Wednesday 15th April

Plans for the season will be discussed.

The first junior sail training on the water will be on
Wednesday 22nd April, then 29th April



Welsh Schools & Clubs Championships

at Tenby Sailing Club again this year!

Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th July 2009

We are hoping that all local juniors will take advantage of this event at the club.
Juniors from all over Wales will be coming but there are races for everyone:
beginners to experienced

Starts at 10.30 a.m.    Turn up at 9.00 a.m. for registration and briefing.

Prior entry necessary



Cruiser Racing

Please note that
we have included a few more races
on the fixture card.

Also all series cruiser cups now need
only 50% sailed rather than 75%

We hope that this will encourage more
to have a go.
     

Open Meeting for Dinghies
& Osprey Open

Saturday 2nd & Sunday 3rd May 2009
at Tenby Sailing Club

3 Races per day     Entry fee £30.00
Toppers, Teras & Optimists £10 for the event.

Club Bar

This will be open every Friday and Saturday from 7.30 p.m.
Also Sunday lunchtimes after sailing


The bar will be open every evening from Spring Bank Holiday to early September
Also weekends at lunch time in this period

Barbecue every Wednesday evening after racing
commencing early May

The bar steward, starting in early June, has offered to provide food on a more regular basis

The summer season's club programme starts on Sunday April 5th.

Volunteers are needed for the starter's rota. Training will be given.

Membership Drive

The AGM decided to keep the fees at the current level. Full membership is still only £50.00.
Spouses & partners are only £5.00 so the whole family can join in.

There is a £10.00 discount on full membership for new members
There never has been a better time to join.

The Clubhouse is better than ever, there is a training programme expanding year by year
and there are now over 20 club boats with a range of types suitable for both adults and juniors.

Regular social programme throughout the year.

Please help our efforts by spreading the word and recruiting more members.
