Pedestrianisation News.The Harbour Car Park will be for Harbour Users only from 8.00 to 18.00 hrs probably from May 1st. Anyone who pays harbour dues either for a dinghy space or mooring will be able to purchase a permit to park at the harbour when using their craft. See notices around Harbour. The P.C.C. will be repeating their pedestrianisation experiment in July and August with a possible concession to those with a permit to park at the harbour. This will allow access to the harbour once during the pedestrianisation period (11.00 to 17.00 hrs). Cars will have to follow the park and ride bus along Crackwell Street. Obviously if the concession is overused and causes any problems then it could be withdrawn. We hope boat owners will use the concession only when necessary. |
Junior SailingEarly season Sail and race training restarts on Wednesday evenings commencing April 14th.Turn up time is shown in the fixture card. From Wed May 26th note important change this year with sail training first followed by points race rather than try to run them at the same time. Sail training will start at 17.30 followed by the points race at 19.00 hrs. ****************************************************** Optimist classes.We will be repeating last years successful Optimist classes.The first class will be on Thurs June 17th then Mon June 21st. Turn up at 17.30 hrs (5.30 pm) Details of the other meetings to be decided. ******************************************************** Free lessons for juniors at Pembrokeshire Watersports will be possible this coming season. Full details not decided but any juniors interested should contact B Shaw on 842535 to be sure of being included. |

Club BarClub Bar open every Friday and Saturday from 7.30 pm. Also Sunday lunchtimes after sailing. The bar will be open every evening from Spring bank holiday to mid September. Also weekends at lunch time in this period. Barbecue every Wednesday evening after racing commencing in early May. |
SailingThe summer seasons club programme started on Sunday April 4th. Fixture list enclosed.Club Race Officers CourseMaybe members are reluctant to offer their help for starting races because they are not sure of the correct procedures.We are offering a course leading to an official RYA Club Race Officers certificate. The course will be run at the Club on Sun April 25th commencing about 1.30 p.m. and will finish about 6 p.m. Lunch will be available beforehand and there will be short break half way through the course. Ring Blake on 842535 if you would like to join the course. Last week there were 30 takers from the Haven at a similar course at PHYC |
A Club DiaryA free diary is enclosed for paid up members.This will include invaluable information about the club, a fixture list for 2004 and Tenby Tide times!! N.B. If the diaries do not arrive in time to be sent out then they will be available from the Bar. |
