- Neville has been a Committee member for more than thirty years.
- He was Sailing Captain for more than 10 years.
- Neville was Commodore in 1976 & 1977, then again in 1987 & 1988.
- He sailed Redwing R195 'Sallyforth' from the early '60s. This boat is now sailed by his son Mike Stace.
- He has used his boat 'Manati' as a rescue boat during Championships for several decades.
- He won the contract to reconstruct the upper floors of the club in the early '70s.
- Neville built the bar which can be seen in the clubroom.
- He is a keen quiz fan.
- He was made a Life Member in 2003.
