Look for the following features:

  • Smithy Storehouse can be seen, with the South Wharf in front of it, made by filling in the east end of the Sluice.

  • The Sleeman's Stores building cannot be seen in this picture.

  • Sir William Paxton's arched walkway, built in 1813.

  • The old Harbour wall with its pier head is still in place. This was replaced in 1842 by the present straight pier.
