Tenby Sailing Club Race & Social Event Report

          Nick will not be on duty this evening but will be cooking tomorrow evening, ready to quell the hunger of the ravenous Saturday noshers.

          I'm delighted to announce that Nick has agreed to put on a spread to celebrate St Valentine's Day. How does a four courser grab you? This will take place on Saturday, February 13th. Bookings are now being taken. Please contact commodore Terry Evans on 844256 to place a reservation.

          Guess what? Yes we lost but not by the usual margin. Yet again, getting that final double still remains our nemesis but a very pleasant evening was had by all. This evening we are at home to the Cross A, another fine darting outfit. Our record against the Cross is not good to say the least but, who knows, strange things sometimes happen. We remain optimistic.

          A relatively new newsletter has been circulated which includes details of sailing and social events. There are copies available at the clubhouse.

          As mentioned in previous articles, the club has accepted an invitation to visit Pembroke Haven Yacht Club and participate in a games challenge evening. Provisionally this will take place on Saturday, March 6th. Would members please note – the date will be confirmed as soon as possible. Watch this space.

          You may recall that Saundersfoot Sailing Club paid us a visit last year for a games and social evening. I can confirm that we have been invited for a return "match" on Friday, February 26th at Saundersfoot Sailing Club.

          Members and friends are invited to watch the Six Nations rugby on our big screen. We will be open tomorrow for the much awaited Wales v England game. Food will also be available to satisfy the ravenous.

          On Saturday February 27th the legendary cawl maestro, Terry Evans, will be serving this annual treat. It's always useful to know approximate numbers. So, should any members and friends wish to participate please contact Terry Evans on 844256. A vegetarian option will be available. Thanks in anticipation.
