Alas, due to circumstances unknown, last week's article did not materialise. Nil desperandum, the author is making sure his readers are not disappointed by faxing this effort from alpine France. To start with, a small ditty: Question: What were prehistoric maritime disasters called? Answer: Tyrannosaurus wrecks. Good news on the sailing front. Angelo Fecci and Tommy D'Ortez, two of our prominent juniors, fared very well in the recent West Wales and South Wales sailing trials at Mumbles. I'm delighted to report that Tommy came third overall in the Laser class, while Angelo was chosen to represent West Wales in Pwllheli in the Topper class. Well done lads! The sailing season is on us, guess what? The first outing was postponed due to inclement weather. There will be sailing as normal this Sunday at 11a.m. prompt. Internet readers are reminded that the latest newsletter from the Club Secretary, Blake Shaw, can now be seen elsewhere in these pages. The Fixture List for 2004 is also now available, as are details of the forthcoming championships in 2004. GP14 |
