Tenby Sailing Club Social Events.

          Winter maintenance is progressing very well. There's still much to do, so any volunteers to help out will be welcomed with open arms. Contact Rolly Squibbs on 842170 or Mike Siace on 844484 to 'enrol'.

          The instructors course is proving very demanding, but fulfilling. I believe this weekend is the final session, after which the club will be better off in terms of expertise.

          The sailing season is taking shape. A fixture card has been formatted and will be available soon. Included in it will be all sailing events, races and training sessions.

          What a turn up. We won! Captain, Terry Evans, was delighted to learn of the resounding victory of his team. He and other key members will have to 'come up with the goods' to keep their places. This evening we are away to the Crown Inn, Penally. Participating members please note.

          Tomorrow (Saturday) evening sees the second Great Jigsaw Race. Last year's event was such a success that, by popular demand, it has returned. Masters of ceremonies, Mark Dashfield, informs me that this year there will be a more 'level playing field'. Please support this fun evening - proceedings will commence at approximately, 7.45 p.m.

          This takes place on Saturday, March 27th. Mike Stace and Deanna Morton, had our taste buds going wild on the previous soup frenzy. This promises to be another culinary experience from the top drawer. Don't miss it!

          By popular demand, Terry Evans has been 'persuaded' to put on one of his famous steak evenings, with real chips! This will take place on Friday, March 19th. Terry would like to know approximate numbers who will attend so that he can maintain stock levels. He can be contacted on 844256 - please phone as early as possible. Terry informs me that there is also a delicious vegetarian option.

          Whilst on a culinary theme, the Easter Carvery will take place on April 16th. 'Phone Blake Shaw on 842535 to make a reservation.

          I'm informed by membership secretary, Julia Dashfield, that there are still several members who have not paid their annual subscriptions.
