Tenby Sailing Club Race Results & Social Events.

Friday 12th November 2004

On Sunday, the usual band of enthusiastic sailors took to the water in ideal conditions. The final positions were:

          1. Mike Stace and Deanna Morton (Redwing); 2. Rolly Squibbs and Helen Williams (Redwing); 3. Ted Lewis (Phantom).

Racing also took place on the Haven in light conditions.Again, club members put in some notable performances.

In Division Two, Daniel Jackson, in yacht Artful Dodger came first, while Geoff Titterton, in yacht Amphora, and Blake Shaw, in yacht Slipstream, came second and fifth, respectively, in Division Three.

Darts

Losing by the narrowest of margins is becoming a habit! Even captain Terry Evans's gargantuan effort could not stem the tide of defeat. His comments to the team after the match are not repeatable, suffice to say that several key members' places on the team are in jeopardy!

This evening we are away to the Sun Inn - participating members please note.

Annual General Meeting

The annual general meeting takes place tomorrow (Saturday) at the clubhouse, commencing at 7.30 p.m. This is an important event in the club's calendar - it is an opportunity for members to have a say in the club's affairs.

Annual Dinner and Prize-Giving

The annual dinner and prize-giving takes place on Saturday, November 20th, at the Fourcroft Hotel. The menu and reservation slip are included in the Newsletter, and can also be seen in these web pages. Would members intending to participate in this most enjoyable of evenings, please let Mike Stace know as soon as possible so that the format of the evening etc. can be planned. Please contact Mike Stace on 844484 for further details.

Fireworks and Bangers & Mash Evening

This proved to be a very successful evening, with a large turnout enjoying a superb display. Many thanks to John Ball for his major contribution and to Commodore Mike Stace for running the display.

A huge thank you to the culinary team of Ruth Tebbutt, Karen Morris, Mary David and Anthea Paterson for their superb effort. Their bangers and mash were enjoyed by all present.
