          Last weekend was a gourmet's delight. Darts practice went well on Friday, with participants revelling in Terry Evans's cuisine, including the 'legendary' real chips.

          Saturday's quiz was attended by the usual band of quiz enthusiasts, with the eventual winners being the Brace clan, again! Well done.

          Quiz master, Terry Evans, controlled matters in his usual 'stem but fair' manner. Participants were also treated to yet more gastronomic treats, which included delicious venison in red wine and lamb & leek curry.

          There will be the obligatory darts practice this evening, as well as the usual menu on offer.

          Tomorrow (Saturday) sees the eagerly-awaited St. Valentine's Supper come to fruition. I believe reservations have gone very well. If any member has left it late, please contact Mike and Deanna on 844484 to ascertain availability. Participating members should gather at 7.30 p.m. for what promises to be a culinary experience.

          Unfortunately, the provisional booking of the Greenhill Jazz Band has had to be postponed to a later date due to work commitments. Watch this space for the new date.
