Tenby Sailing Club Race Results & Social Events.

          Again, last Sunday saw conditions not conducive to sailing. Let us hope that conditions will be such that sailing will take place this Sunday.

          Sailing did take place on the Haven, with a large turnout eager to do battle in very testing conditions. The Tenby contingent again fared very well with Daniel Jackson, in yacht Artful Dodger, winning the division two race while Blake Shaw, in yacht Slipstream, and Billy Stubbs, in yacht Amphora, came fourth and seventh respectively.

          Guess what? We lost, albeit by the narrowest of margins. Again our nemesis is the inability to get the finishing double. Captain, Terry Evans, will carry out the threatened substitutions if things don't improve!

          This evening we are away to the Basscatchers, who play at the Hope and Anchor, St. Julian Street. Participating members please note.

          The annual general meeting will take place on Saturday, November 13th. This is an important event in the club's calendar - it is an opportunity for members to have a say in the club's affairs.

          The annual dinner and prize-giving takes place on Saturday, November 20th, at the Fourcroft Hotel. The menu and reservation slip is included in the newsletter which members will receive shortly. Please contact Mike Stace on 844484 for further details.

          Sadly, this is club steward Howard Ball's last weekend of the season. He is cooking as usual this evening and tomorrow evening, so why not come along and thank Howard for all his efforts this season and enjoy great food in warm and convivial surroundings.
