As far as I am aware, the dreaded easterly wind prevented any dinghy taking to the water last Sunday.
Sailing did take place on the Haven with the Milford yacht contingent joining forces with the Neyland sailors to race a long course, especially returning against wind and tide.
The usual Tenby helms and crew took part with varying success. Unfortunately I do not have the finishing positions to hand, but I will report them next week. Weather permitting, sailing as usual this Sunday.
Quiz
Last Saturday's quiz evening proved a great success, with several teams vying for success.
Quiz master Terry Evans was on form, as usual, managing to keep control of some tense moments.
The eventual winners were the Brace family - well done, considering some teams outnumbered them by three to one.
Darts
Readers may be aware we're on a roll. Let us hope the trend continues this evening when we play the Crown at home. Participating members please note. The Crown are a strong team, so we will have to be at our best.
Firework and Hallowe'en Evening
Next Friday, October 31st, the club will be putting on a firework display. This is a popular event when members bring fireworks along, thereby contributing to a great display. It's also Hallowe'en, so there may be some 'trick or treats'.
To keep the inner person satisfied, Terry Evans will be turning out his delicious bangers and mash with his famed onion gravy. Don't miss this treat.
Annual Dinner Dance
The annual dinner dance takes place on Saturday, November 15th. This is a popular event - any members wishing to partake should contact Mike Stace on 844484. The menu has been circulated with the recent newsletter - book now to avoid disappointment.
Annual General Meeting
The annual general meeting takes place on Saturday, November 22nd.
This is an important occasion where members can mould the future of the club.
Proceedings will commence at 7.30 p.m. We look forward to meeting you.
