Tenby Sailing Club Race Results.

Friday 27th June 2003

          Last Wednesday's racing was called off due to the very blustery conditions.

          However, sailing did take place and unscheduled capsizes meant several trainees had unexpected practice at their righting techniques.

          Sunday's racing was keenly contested, with the Redwings being challenged by Ted Lewis's Phantom.

          The final positions were: 1. Rolly Squibbs and Alex MacDonald (Redwing); 2. Ted Lewis (Phantom); 3. Mike Stace and Deanna Morton (Redwing).

          This weekend, the club is holding its annual regatta in conjunction with the County Regatta.

          A good turnout is expected, with tomorrow's (Saturday's) racing taking the usual format, while Sunday's race is around Caldey Island for both dinghies and cruisers.

          Saturday's racing commences at 11.30 am, while Sunday's racing commences at 11 am for Cruisers and 11.30 am for dinghies.

          Terry Evans's Wednesday barbecues go from strength to strength - all members and friends are welcome. Tomorrow (Saturday) he is putting on a barbecue for members and competitors - all are welcome. He is looking forward to feeding you!

          While on a culinary note, club steward Howard Bull is catering this (Friday) evening - regular and non-regular members please note.

          The club is now open every evening and at Sunday lunchtimes - members and friends please note.
